Connecting the arts and our community is done through various educational opportunities involving all ages.
Join a class, learn a new technique, or join our open studio session.

Education: Welcome

Open Studio offers a welcoming opportunity for artists to collaborate with one another by sharing a workspace in an open area during a 2-hour session. The artists bring their supplies, project, drop cloth, and a donation of $5 for facility use. Techniques, tips, and expertise are freely exchanged in this friendly noncompetitive, and engaging atmosphere. Open Studio will be available when the building is open in the Summer of 2022.

Student art shows bring amazing talent from Seguin, Marion, Stockdale, Gonzales, home schools, and surrounding school districts together in one exhibition. The Seguin Art League offers prizes and ribbons to several talented artists who use traditional and new electronic medias that leave you breathless and proud of the work that is produced. SAL members engage with students to help articulate their subject as well as their techniques. This personal encouragement influences young artist to continue to create and impress the community through showing their work.

Senior Citizens’ Traveling Art Classes was made possible by GVEC’s Power Up Grant. This show will be held at various locations to help bring art to the seniors living in local senior care facilities.

SAL members who are trained in instructional guidance offer summer classes. The classes vary by instructor, as do the class fees.
