Loose Watercolor Feline

March 25 from 1 - 4 pm

This is a beginning watercolor class where the student will learn to paint expressive cat eyes and a loose interpretation of fur, nose and ears. The student will walk away with study of facial feline components and with a finished cat on watercolor paper. Join SAL member and watercolorist Cat Bollinger for this fun and innovative look. Please wear old clothes and or an apron as we will be splattering watercolor paint.

Needle Felted Landscapes

April 18 from 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Painting with wool! In this five hour workshop students learn the basics of two dimensional needle felting while creating their own original landscape from photos that inspire you. We will be making mini 6"x6" landscapes using a variety of wool types, silk, nepps and other embellishments. Bring a couple of photos for inspiration. Join SAL member and artisan Marti Swanson for this innovative class. Art supplies provide as part of fee (including felting needles, felting mat, wool, and a matting board to display your finished piece. Bring a drink and/or a snack for the break will take halfway through the class. You will be amazed at the results.

Ink and Watercolor Card Swipes
Landscape Impressionism Part 1

April 29 at 1 PM - 4 PM

Become an impressionistic artist using inks and water media to create an impressive loose landscape painting on watercolor paper suitable for framing. In this intermediate level class, we will use plastic cards, pallet knives, chip brushes and spray bottles as the primary tools to create an impressionistic landscape on watercolor paper using watercolors and inks. All materials provided. Participants should wear old clothes and bring gloves, an apron and old plastic cards as ink stains hands and clothing. This is a fun and messy class. Join SAL member and watercolorist Cat Bollinger for this class.

Ink and Watercolor - Impressionism
Florals Part 2

May 27 at 1 PM - 4 PM

Become an impressionistic artist using inks and water media to create an impressive loose dynamic floral painting on watercolor paper suitable for framing. In this intermediate level class, we will use sable brushes and pallet knives as the primary tools to create an impressionism style floral on watercolor paper. All materials provided. Participants should wear old clothes and bring gloves and an apron as ink stains hands and clothing. This is a fun and messy class. Join SAL member and watercolorist Cat Bollinger for this class.

Wet Felted Vessel

June 6 at 1 PM - 4 PM

This is a beginner-friendly class that will give students a hands-on introduction to wet-felting with a resist to create a three-dimensional form. Students will learn the basics of wet-felting and get the chance to experiment with colors and textures while creating their own decorative vessel. These vessels are fun, colorful, and a great addition to any space. Completed vessels can be used as solo decor or be used as a vase for dried floral arrangements.Wet-felting is a physical process and does involve standing and rolling wool. While this process does take some physical effort, the results will be well worth it!

Join SAL member and artisan Marti Swanson for this innovative class. Students should bring an old bath towel; all other materials will be provided.
